Thanksgiving Left Over Ideas

Thanksgiving is tomorrow!  And while the majority of us will be slaving away at the stove, I have taken the liberty of compiling a few recipes from the blog that will help you use up all those Thanksgiving left overs in the next few days.

I am a HUGE fan of left overs and try to use them up in any way I know how.  It is amazing what you can do with them ;)  If you find the right recipe, it literally is like having two meals for the price of one ;)

~Clicking on the pictures will lead you to the posts~

Sausage (or Ham), Cheese, and Grit Casserole
~Originally, this is a Sausage, Cheese, and Grit Casserole.  However, you can throw in shredded pieces of your left over Thanksgiving ham.  You can replace the sausage with the ham or combine the two.~

Homemade Breakfast Burritos
~Throw some ham into this mix of wonderful ingredients.  Take out the sausage and just put the ham, or do a combination of both.~

Spinach, Bacon (and ham), and Cheese Quiche
~Just like the grit casserole up above, leave the bacon out and replace it with ham.  Or do a combination of both.  Yummmm!~

White Bean Chicken (Turkey) Chili
~Leave out the chicken and replace it with the turkey.~

Homemade Chicken (or Turkey) Pot Pie
~Replace the chicken with the turkey in this comforting dish.  Soooo good!~

Christmas Eve Soup
~Don't let the name fool you.  You can make this soup even if it's not on Christmas Eve ;)  This is a GREAT way to use up all that ham!~

Left Over Chicken/Turkey Casserole
~This recipe was designed for all that left over turkey!  So good and so filling....you will want to eat more then one serving ;) Yummm!~

.....And there you have it folks!  With all these recipe ideas, you should have dinner/breakfast planned out for at least the next week or two ;)

Happy Holidays!!!

  1. Libby, how about stuffing/dressing fritters. I take the dressing, add leftover corn, and 2 eggs and fry them up pancake style. You could add anything you like to include leftover ham, turkey or chicken.
